Which American Girl doll should I buy my daughter?

Well personally if I had the money I would get a retired doll. You never know in the future how much they'll be worth. I loved the American Doll series when I was a young girl. An elderly neighbor of mine had one and would let me play with her. I loved visiting and playing with the doll. As I got older I started reading the books and was intrigued. I just think that the retired one would be for me if I had the money to buy it, but the newer ones are cute too.
